Being 23 is weird. I don’t know if I like it. 21 is still my favorite so far, and then 22 is my number of choice so…. 23 had a lot to live it up to starting on July 20 of last year. I blame my age, but I think it is more of the season of life that is the real issue here. 23 just got unlucky enough to fall right in the middle of it.
From practically birth up until May of last year, each year carried the same structure. Birthday in July. Start school in August. Finish in May. Birthday in July. Start school in… It was comfortable, yeah, but I knew it would end one day. I knew one day I would wake up and my friends wouldn’t all be within walking distance. I knew sleeping in on a Monday would become a luxury. I knew I would have to grow up. So I did. And I was pretty cool with it until about two months ago.
So I woke up on my own at 6 a.m. this morning {WHY MAL WHY} and I’ve ultimately run out of things to do. I ran, made a cool breakfast and got coffee. So now I’m going to make a list of everything I miss about college. Right now. On this day, January 30, 2015. Well the top 50 things.
