Well, we have arrived at one of my favorite seasons of the year, fall. Honestly, I like all seasons except winter. Ha! But, fall is definitely at the top of the list. If you live in a warmer climate like me, it can be challenging to throw on the sweaters and boots right away. Because of this, I like to integrate summer pieces into the fall season and mix them with fall items that are not going to make me sweat. 🙂 Here is a little guide to my tips on transitioning into fall clothing when the temperature isn’t quite crisp yet.
As you can see in my photos, I chose to throw a hat and suede shoes on to make my summer dress look a little less summery. Textures like suede, felt or corduroy are small but huge changes to add to your wardrobe for more autumn look. My hat from the photos it the top middle one. An awesome Amazon find!
Booties, mules and animal prints are huge staple of fall. Booties are a great solution before the weather really transitions into fall or even winter and tall boots are a little too heavy. There are so many ways to style a mules. They can be dressed up or dressed down. Honestly, they are the one shoe that I feel like (surprisingly) completely changes any outfit drastically. I mean what shoe can you wear with a cropped pant suit and also ripped jeans?
Hair accessories with the right print or color palette can also transition a summery outfit into a more fall look. The tortoise shell look is such an easy way to incorporate darker tones into your color palette. Also, once again, animal print for the autumn wardrobe win!
I hope you enjoyed this little guide for slowly transitioning your wardrobe into a more fall look. It can be easy to overlook the tiny things, but details are key when making subtle changes to any outfit. What’s your favorite of these tips?
